Kyler has been studying with me for a few years now, and his quest has always been to take first in a contest. His passion, persistence, and love for the \u02bbukulele brought him to this moment \u2014 and we couldn\u2019t be prouder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/GS9H69M.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dr. Trey, Kyler and his beautiful prize a Kamaka Concert \u02bbUkulele<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the contest, Kyler performed an intricate picking arrangement of <em>\u201cSpeak Softly, Love\u201d (Love Theme from The Godfather)<\/em>, showcasing both his technical skill and musical sensitivity. It was a beautiful, heartfelt performance that truly captured the audience and judges alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay tuned \u2014 Kyler has already told me he\u2019s still hungry and wants to get even better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also want to recognize the other amazing students who made the finals this year \u2014 <strong>Kekanumai<\/strong> and <strong>Karsten<\/strong> for the <strong>Duke\u2019s Ukes Contest<\/strong>, and <strong>Riley<\/strong>, <strong>Bradly<\/strong>, and <strong>Naupaka<\/strong> for the <strong>Kris Fuchigami \u02bbUkulele Contest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kekanumai<\/strong>, <strong>Karsten<\/strong>, and <strong>Naupaka<\/strong> are students at the <strong>Kapena School of Music<\/strong>, while <strong>Riley<\/strong>, <strong>Bradly<\/strong>, and <strong>Kyler<\/strong> are part of our <strong>Four Strings \u02bbUkulele Studio \u02bbohana<\/strong>. Each of you brought your own unique energy, skill, and aloha spirit to the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re so proud of every one of you for your hard work, dedication, and musical growth.
