Kapena School Of Music at The ʻUkulele Summit

Kapena School Of Music had the opportunity to perform at the ʻUkulele Summit this weekend, and it was a great experience for everyone involved.

The event brought together a wide range of players and groups, and it was nice to see so many people supporting ʻukulele music in one place. KSMCE represented the school well, performing with solid focus and energy throughout their set.

One thing that stood out was the reaction from the audience. As I was leaving, several people stopped me to comment on how well the group played, which is always a good sign that the performance connected beyond just the stage.

Events like this are important because they give students a chance to perform in a real-world setting, hear other groups, and understand what it means to be part of a larger music community. It also gives them a clearer sense of where their playing stands and what they can continue to work on.

Overall, it was a strong showing for Kapena School Of Music and a valuable step as we continue preparing for our main performance of the year.
